Woo! Three more super-kick-ass comics!
PvP – Another of the great ones. Scott Kurtz has been going strong since 1998. Like Penny Arcade’s Mike Krahulik, Scott’s technical abilities have come a long way over the last 12 years. His skills are legendary. I highly recommend watching the occasional live stream or time-lapse video of him drawing the comic (or those of any comic you admire). Free lessons in awesome.
Questionable Content – Hard to say what this one is exactly about. It’s loosely centered around a group of friends and a coffee shop (great, now I have the Friends theme song stuck in my head). But it also includes horny anthropomorphic computers and a very loud and very vulgar bird who fills in when Jeph is away. Like other long-running comics, the style has really flourished. I guess it helps to draw every day. Jeph has really kicked it up a notch in the last six months or so.
Rob and Elliot – An infrequent comic about two friends and their zany adventures. It’s a solid read. Hard to describe, but consistently funny.
That’s it for now. See you on Monday. I’m off to shovel some snow. Viva el Niño!
